Swimming

This summer has been a hot one, so we have spent a lot of time in the pool. We have a kiddie pool that we used a couple of times back in May. Then my mom got a larger kiddie pool that we swam in some. We went down to our neighbors and swam in their above ground pool a few times. Then, my parents bought an above ground pool and we've already spent a lot of time there. At the beginning of the summer, Kagen wanted his little swim ring and would cling to me if I tried to make him swim in his floaties instead. Two times later, he jumped into the pool with just floaties before we could even get in. (we were proud and scared at the same time) Now, he swims all over with floaties, or a noodle, a boogie board, and can even tread water on his own. He just got his tonsils out today and they said no swimming for a while, so that might set him back a little, but I'm so proud of the progress he has made all on his own.

The first pictures are from the first day they filled up the pool. The lovely Stamford water was green. Makes me feel great about what I put in Braden's bottles! Anyway, the last pictures are after Dad got the pool treated and the pumps running.

Swimming without floaties on the batman boogie board.

Swimming all by himself! No floaties or anything! (treading water anyway)

Braden said he would clean the pool.
