10 Months Old and Taking First Steps!

Kagen turned 10 months old yesterday. It was a big day. He had taken 1 step several times over the past couple of weeks, but yesterday he took 2 steps! He also said "Dada" for the first time and got to go to the Pumpkin Farm. Floydada didn't have a football game, so Daddy was off and we all got to spend the evening together. It was so nice. Kagen loved the pumpkins. He held several pumpkins that were bigger than the ones he ended up getting, but he wasn't impressed with them. He loved his little hand sized ones and played with them in the car all the way home. We had to keep the pacifier in his mouth the whole time to keep him from putting them in his mouth though. He and his daddy did bring a big pumpkin home, too to carve later for Halloween.

He is moving around pretty quickly these days. He bear crawls a lot. He is on his hands and feet going down the hall trying to stay off of his knees because they get sore. He is getting braver about trying to take steps and will walk easily holding 2 hands and fairly easily holding on to one hand. He doesn't always want to though. He likes his independence and chooses to crawl most of the time or walk holding onto the furniture. I can't believe how close we are getting to his first birthday.

Once Kagen picked out his pumpkins, he held on to them for dear life.

This was the only time he let go of one of his little pumpkins.


"Mommy has one drawer of toys for me in the kitchen and another drawer with 2 spatulas that I'm allowed to play with!"

"Daddy lets me play with the big football!"

"I fell asleep drinking my juice."
