Poor child. He doesn't get near the documentation that Kagen did. I'm trying though. We took him on December 21 for his 2 month check up. He was doing great. Since he was born 2 1/2 weeks early, he started off low on the charts. He was 6 lbs 14 oz at birth and only in the 20 and 30 percentiles at his 1 week check up. However at 2 1/2 months, he weighed 12 lbs 11 oz and was 23.5 inches long and had moved up to the 50th percentiles. The doctor was impressed that he had jumped that many percentage points. I guess he is on his way to being a big boy like his brother.
I don't know what he measures right now. I need to take him out to my moms office and weigh him. We'll go back next month for his 4 month check up if we don't get weighed before then.
He talks so much. I don't remember Kagen doing that so much. If you sit and talk to him, he coos and smiles and squeals. It is so cute. Since the first week of his life, he has been able to scoot up to the corner of his bed. Now, we have found him completely turned around in there a couple of times. He loves to watch the lights on his crib toys. He has been so easy to put to bed. With Kagen, we made the mistake of always rocking him to sleep before laying him down. Kagen turned 2 last year and still wanted to "rock, rock". We had to put an end to that. With Braden, we started putting him in his bed awake right off the bat. He lays there and listens to his music and watches the lights and puts himself to sleep! So much easier in that sense! At 3 months, Kagen started sleeping through the night. However, Kagen had also been getting cereal in his bottles for a month at that point. We decided to try cereal in Braden's bedtime bottle. It hasn't made a difference at all. No matter what time we put him to bed (8 or 10) he gets up between 3 and 4 every night. Zach said there must be an alarm hidden in his room that goes off at that time each morning!
Braden rolls to his side, kicks his legs like crazy, sucks on his hands, recognizes our voices and looks for us, loves watching his big brother, doesn't like it when Taylor barks, is good in the car, sleeps and eats well, and brings such joy to our lives.
He is actually 3 months old in this picture. This was after church one Sunday in January.
Chillin on Christmas Day
He likes to play with the toys on his infant seat.

They are so cute! I'm sorry to hear that Braden is sick...poor thing. Ashlyn has been sick too. It just makes me so sad for her.
